and dinners are usually served on campsites, while lunches could
be served during the walk. Campsites consist basically of hammocks
with mosquito protection and a specified place for personal necessities..
“Zotz” is a Maya word
meaning “bats”. This place is well known for its bat
caves where thousands of them emerge as the sun goes down and the
moon rises. The archaeological site which is part excavated is not
to be missed. The trip gets more exciting as you continue walking
on through thick jungle terrain until reaching the world famous
site of Tikal. After three days in the jungle you can enjoy a leisurely
time visiting Tikal before returning to the modern world.
